Guerriero 1
Glass, 180 × 75 cm, bas-relief and sculpture in clear glass, painted with enamels and Japanese inks, blue gold leaf and 22k gold leaf, wood, feathers.

A gilded bamboo spear tipped with blue sponge is the perfect weapon for someone with no interest in fighting, but who wishes to keep flat dreams, straight lines and rigid postures at bay.
Blue feathers are essential for sheltering from dark thoughts, like those that fall on the sleepless, too busy dodging anxieties and summoning empty certainties. Two guardians with soft, rounded, fluid forms keep out everything that is fixed, serious and stern. The phases of the moon alternate above constellations turned towards the earth: from here on, they are the only measure of time.
An armour of silvery tellin shells and golden reflections in a blue sea is still needed to defend against the monotonous weight that falls and advances.
